For the very first time in history, a team of 24 leading Chinese universities tripped the Confucius Institute in the University of Ghana, Legon for an educational exhibition.
Given that the director, Dr. Lucy Anning happens to be an alumni of two universities among the representing universities, DevAfrica Institute had the opportunity to engage in a purposeful dialogue to strengthen ties between Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and our very own DevAfrica Institute.
Professor Wang Zhengjun of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) was particularly impressed and babahazed on the eloquence and overall brilliancy given the sample of Ghanaian students who made it to the event among significant others.
Aside their core enlisted mission for the trip, Professor Wang Zhengjun of ZUEL took the opportunity to inquire on how past students who have returned to Ghana after graduating from their university are faring back home in Ghana while sharing some positive pleasantries.
On the significant note of ZUEL’s anniversary, DevAfrica Institute takes the unique opportunity to wish the famous Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) in Wuhan, the People’s Republic of China a very happy 75th anniversary!
Long live ZUEL, long live DevAfrica Institute.

This is a positive reaction. Its only a few Universities abroad that would follow up keenly on Old Students and how the knowledge acquired are impacting their home of origin.
We must travel, learn, return home and impact our communities with the knowledge and skills acquired.

The university should consider an exchange programs where students from Ghana are sent to china to learn entrepreneurship. For me, it’s the way forward. If we have an entrepreneurial mind, we will think of establishing ourselves than relying on the government for employment.
